Goodbye 2009, Hello 2010!

2009 has been a pretty great year for me. My own new year started when school started. This is my first school year at a public school. I made friends at my new school, while keeping my friends from my old school. I was able to see our nation’s capital with my class from my old school, renew an old friendship, and spend quality time with my family. As phenomenal as 2009 was, I cannot help but to look forward to 2010. It’s a chance to make even more new friends, a time for new beginnings, and resolutions I know I’ll only keep for a few weeks. I decided to ring in the New Year with a couple friends this year. My friends and I celebrated by playing the Wii, watching movies, and of course the ball drop in Times Square. On New Year’s Day, I went to my grandparent’s house to enjoy a turkey dinner. As the majority of people do, I of course have New Year resolutions that like the rest of the world, I swear to keep, but in my heart, I know I won’t. A resolution that will be easy to keep because I miss them so much is to spend more time with my friends from my old school that I’ve known since first grade or so. I would also like to be able to do at least one push up by the end of the year! On that note, I would like to wish the world a happy new year!
